Sacked Bugisu Cultural Institution Prime Minister, Walimbwa Peke Charles has reacted to the recent Inzu Yamasaba Cabinet reshuffle where he was dropped.

His Royal Highness, Mike Jude Mudoma, Umukuka III reshuffled his cabinet on Saturday, 28th December, 2024 dropping Walimbwa and replacing him with Paulo Mwambu.

Whereas, Mudoma told this Publication that the reshuffle was a normal routine and that he did it in good faith, Walimbwa says this is a sacking.

While speaking to our reporter on Sunday, 29th December, in a phone interview, Walimbwa says that Mudoma appointed him by word of mouth without an appointment letter.

He adds that he waited for his name to be taken to the cultural council for approval in vain until the Saturday’s sacking.

Walimbwa says Mudoma should have first asked him make to handover office before appointing another person to his position.

He also says that he has been having issues since he assumed that position last year immediately after Mudoma was gazzetted as the cultural leader saying adding that he is not surprised that he has been dropped.

Walimbwa cited another example of the recent fundraising drive of about 1 billion shillings for establishment of Inzu yamasaba radio stations which flopped. He says the turn up was low and big shots they targeted like Kenyan National Assembly Speaker, Vice President Jesica Alupo and others did not appear. He attributes this persons within Inzu yamasaba who fought it.

On his part, HRH, Mudoma while speaking to our reporter on phone on Monday, 30th December, confirmed the dropping of Walimbwa saying he carried out a normal reshuffle as mandated by the Constitution of Inzu yamasaba.

Mudoma says that Inzu yamasaba has many positions which Walimbwa and others who were dropped can be appointed into.

He adds that his main purpose of cabinet reshuffle is to put the right people into right positions who are going to work for Inzu yamasaba’s development.
