Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has published the final report of the National Housing and Population Census-2024, Volume 1.
This was revealed by UBOS Executive Director, Dr. Chris N Mukiza in a press statement dated 31st December, 2024.
Mukiza says the Report has been published in line with the implementation plan and can be uploaded on the Ubos website: www.ubos.org.
Meanwhile, monographs in various volumes detailing more statistical information from the Census shall be published in the next 6 months beginning with Multi-dimensional Poverty Index as well as Sub County and Parish profiles.
Preliminary findings of the Census were communicated on 27th June, 2024, providing statistics on population size, distribution and composition up to District/City level, while the provisional results were communicated on 3rd October, 2024.
The Final Report presents the final results of the National Housing and Population Census-2024 with data and statistics for key indicators reported at district/city levels.
The report gives statistics on the demographic, socio-economic and environmental characteristics of the population as well as information on households and communities where they reside.
