Education Service Commission has thrown more light on the recruitment of teachers for 91 seed schools as per the Commission’s Advert No.4/2024.
The Commission’s Advert No.4/2024 invites qualified persons to apply for the vacant positions in the Seed Schools built under the Uganda Inter-Government Fiscal Transfer Program (UGIFT).
Addressing the media today, Friday, 3rd January, 2025, Rev. Prof. Dr. Samuel Luboga, the Chairperson of the Education Service Commission, says applications are ongoing and will end on 10th January, 2025.
“The Advert was issued on 23.12.2024 and will close on 10.1.2025. The first two weeks of the Advert are intended to allow candidates to organize their academic documents, which they will submit from Monday 6th to Friday 10th January 2025 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm,” says Luboga.
He says the 91 Schools have been organized into Ten (10) Clusters adding that this is intended to ease access to the application-submission process by the eligible teaching and non-teaching staff.
Application forms will be submitted to designated centres as already communicated to the public through Advert Number 4/2024. Each designated Centre will receive application forms for only schools in that cluster.
Applicants are advised to strictly use the Application Form UGIFT/2/2024 and Summary Form UGIFT/2/2024, which can be accessed on the Education Service Commission Website: http://esc.go.ug/publications.
Applicants have been advised to apply for only one post, and only one school of their choice.
Dr. Samuel Luboga says each school is to receive 31 staff, including 2 administrators, 23 teachers, and 6 non-teaching staff. Online applications closed on Dec 8, 2024.
He also says that successful candidates will serve at the seed schools for at least 5 years. Recruitment is free and open to eligible government and private sector staff.
