Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has once again extended the submission date of Excise Duty Returns for November, 2024.
The Authority had earlier extended the due date of the Excise Duty return of November 2024 to 31st December 2024.
However, in a public notice dated 31st December, 2024, URA informs all taxpayers who are required to file excise duty returns that the due date for submission of the excise duty return for November 2024 has been further extended to 15th January 2025.
URA says the extension is to give tax payers ample time to transition from the Excel based return to web-based returns.
Persons supplying excisable goods and services are required to register and file monthly Returns to the tax authority by the 15thday of the month following the month in which delivery of the goods was made.
