MBALE CITY
Mbale City Town Clerk Ambrose Ochen has been transferred to Mbarara City.
This was revealed by James Kutosi, the Mbale City Public Relations Officer while addressing the Media on Friday, 10th January, 2025 at his office.
Kutosi said that Ochen has been taken to Mbarara city and has been replaced by James Obore who has been the Soroti City Town Clerk.
He says the public must know that these are normal transfers and Mbale City dwellers to work with the new City Town Clerk for the good of Mbale City.
Meanwhile, Khariate Khalayi, the Mbale city Deputy Mayor says Ochen will be remembered as one of the town clerks who united the technical and political wings of Mbale City.
She says that they are ready to work with the new one to make sure that Mbale city moves ahead.
Some sources who preferred anonymity says Ochen’s transfer is tied to the recent controversy where he interdicted Linus Nasimiyu, the Acting City Education Officer over misuse of a government vehicle.
