MUKONO: Police Recovers Gun Used In Numerous Robberies

Police has recovered a rifle that has been used to carry out numerous robberies from Lukojjo village, Mpoma Parish, Nama sub-county, Mukono district.

 

According to ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the Police Spokesperson, the rifle was recovered today Friday, 7th March, 2025 at the home on a one Wagube Ivan Stephen, also known as Ivan Musambwa.

 

He says the gun was found in a sack along with a pair of military uniforms, a military jacket, and house-breaking tools.

 

The recovery followed numerous complaints about aggravated robberies in Mukono district that prompted police to make a significant arrest on March 2, 2025.

 

The team apprehended nine suspects in a white Noah vehicle with registration number UBR 254 E along Bombo Road. During interrogation, one of the suspects revealed the location of a rifle used in the robberies.
