Kampala City based musician, Jjingo Shafik, alias Fik Gaza has been re-arrested minutes after Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court granted him bail.
Fik Gaza who appeared before the Chief Magistrate on Tuesday, 8th April for his bail application was re-arrested on charges of aggravated robbery that apparently happened in Wakiso.
He had earlier successfully secured a cash bail of Shs1 million with his sureties bonded at non-cash of Shs10 million each. He was also asked to deposit his passport as the case was adjourned to 12th May 2025.
Jjingo Shafik, alias Fik Gaza, and Magoola Najibu, Mutuba David (alias Mavin Gaza), and Zziwa Charles (alias Mzungu were arrested in connection to surging robbery cases within and outside Katwe Division on Thursday, 3rd April, 2025 in an intelligence-led operation.
Speaking following the arrest, KMP Spokesperson, Patrict Onyango said during the operation, the residence of Jjingo Shafik, was found to be harboring some of the city’s most wanted criminals.
