An aggravated robbery that occurred on 11th April 2025 at around 6:20 PM in Lweza Cell A, Ndejje Division, Makindye-Ssabagabo Municipality, Wakiso District went sour after a group of boda boda riders pursued the robbers leading to the death of one.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the KMP Deputy Police Spokesperson, two unidentified men on a red Haojue motorcycle (Reg. UGG 774A) attacked a parked Toyota Premio (Reg. While fleeing, they were confronted by a boda boda rider, Tumwesigye Peter (27), who, along with Abdul Swabur (18), was shot and injured. Both were taken to Mildmay Hospital; Swabur was later referred to Mulago Referral Hospital.

He says that a joint effort by boda boda riders, locals, and police led to the pursuit and neutralization of one suspect.

The pursuit led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, Red Haojue motorcycle (UGG 774A), one cartridge, a national ID (suspected to belong to one of the assailants), Two mobile phones, Red bag (used to conceal firearm) and a Black bag with a ring spanner (belonging to the victim).
