National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has issued a Customer Notice dated Thursday, 24th April, 2025 warning its esteemed members and the public that the ‘Uganda Digital’ accounts in Social Media are fake.
These accounts are spread across Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram purporting to offer “investment” opportunities to “automatically generate Shs10m per month.”
The Fund informs its esteemed members and the public that the said social media accounts are fraudulent and should be ignored.

The fraudulent Social Media Accounts use the image of the NSSF Managing Director, Patrick. M Ayota and sometimes go further to imitate his speech to make them appear genuine.
NSSF says the matter has been reported to relevant authorities with intent to investigate and prosecute the fraudsters.
“In the unlikely event that any individual member has been directly contacted to take part in the fraud, we advise that you report to the nearest police station,” reads the Notice in part.
