The Kumam Cultural Heritage (KUCH) is preparing to host an international delegation of dignitaries, including three kings, under the Ateker International Development Organization (AIDO) network.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Prime Minister of Kumam Cultural Heritage, Samuel Eyenga noted that the delegation will be composed of 20 visitors from Kenya, Jamaica, Nigeria, Canada, Barbados, and the United Kingdom.

He said the delegation led by Paul Jones Eganda the Founder and global president of AIDO Network International will arrive in Uganda on the 24th of May.

The group includes six key dignitaries from the United Kingdom and three kings. His Highness Papa Won Ateker Raphael Otaya, the head of KUCH, will personally receive the visitors at Entebbe International Airport and host them at his residence in Katine, Soroti District.

From the 27th to the 28th of May, the delegation will visit Serere District.

According to Eyenga, the main objective of the visit is to understand and appreciate the Kumam cultural norms and traditions, and to foster strong ties between the Kumam community and the global African diaspora.

Eyenga also revealed that the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MoGLSD) is closely involved in the preparations because of the high level of dignitaries involved.

“We call upon all Kumams to join hands in mobilizing resources and warmly welcoming our visitors,” he urged.

Planned activities for the visitors include traditional performances, exhibitions of cultural artifacts, entertainment, and the presentation of gifts.
