A dramatic incident unfolded in Namusita Cell, Namusita Parish, Kakule Sub County, Budaka District, where two goats belonging to Irene Gifibo were brutally killed on Sunday, 27th April, 2025 by a man she had dumped.
Wilfred Kyapasa, the Bukedi North region police spokesperson, says Kibuku dog team, led by Moses Owori, responded promptly and tracked the suspect using their skilled police dog from the scene.
He says the dog followed the scent for about 1 kilometer, leading the team to the home of David Mugole, who subsequently accepted responsibility for the offense and was arrested.
Mugole, a former partner of Gifibo, accused her of leaving him and going with other men. Forcing him to kill her animals in retaliation.
Investigations revealed that David maliciously injured the goats out of annoyance after Irene ended their relationship.
