The Entebbe Municipality Speaker, Modesta Tezikya, has gone to meet her creator following days of being hospitalized at Emmanuel Medical center.
The deceased who is the founder of Modesta foundation, a non-profit organization that helps children with health complications like down syndrome among other diseases passed on Friday evening, 16th May, 2025.
A vigil was held at her residence in Entebbe and today Saturday May 17, 2025 , a requiem mass was held at Bugonga catholic church.
The deceased who has been a woman councilor for people with disabilities willed that they bury her at Kisubi cemetery where she will be laid to rest tomorrow.
Mourners including scribes described her as a generous and good hearted person.
In 2016, she served as a deputy speaker and in 2021 she was appointed a full speaker by Mayor Fabrice Rulinda.
