Hon George Okectho, the man who has made Dr Otaala lately unpopular within the constituency of West Budama South in Tororo district has made his intentions clearer by picking nomination forms to formally express his interest to represent the people of West Budama South Constituency as Member of parliament.

Dr Tanga Odoi who congratulated him upon this milestone, on Monday, 2nd June, 2025, advised the people of Tororo District to keep supporting the NRM party because of what the party stands for.

Odoi says that the district is now being divided into three new districts, to bring services closer to the communities of West Budama, which gives the party strong and solid ground for development in the three new districts.

While also addressing the NRM electoral commission at the party Headquarters in Kampala, Dr Tanga commended the party electoral commission for its diligence and transparency in organizing the recently concluded party structure elections and ongoing exercise which he described as a clear demonstration of the NRM’s strong commitment to democratic principles.

Mr Okectho after picking the forms spoke to the press and expressed his gratitude to the people of West Budama South for first believing in him and trusting him unopposed in the lower NRM structures as the Publicity secretary and requested for support in the next NRM party elections.

He thanked the people of West Budama and asked them to trust him because he is a servant leader who understands the struggles and untapped potential that West Budama has.

He said in his manifesto which entails Job creation, youth skilling, mindset change towards development, accountability, inclusion and a people centered leadership is what he stands for as the next leader and Member of Parliament of West budama South constituency. He ends by saying ‘’ wa Kari tichi gi museni”
