This decision comes after extensive discussions and reflects a consensus among local leaders and stakeholders.

During a press conference held at his office yesterdayon Monday, 26th May, 2025, Obbo highlighted Kisoko’s historical significance as the County headquarters for Greater Budama and West Budama.

He pointed out that the area is not only rich in resources but also possesses ample land that can accommodate a district headquarters, facilitating future developmental projects prioritized by the government.

“While not every administrative unit can be centrally located, Kisoko is strategically positioned to serve the needs of our community effectively,” Obbo emphasized.

He urged the residents of Padhola to come together in support of this decision, calling for unity and cooperation to mitigate any attempts at divisiveness.

Obbo expressed confidence that this new district will promote growth and development for the people of Budama, paving the way for enhanced governance and service delivery.

As preparations move forward, the community is encouraged to engage positively in the process, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of all residents are addressed.

With this announcement, the Tieng Adhola cultural institution aims to foster a spirit of collaboration and progress among the people of Padhola, marking a new chapter in local governance.

The future of the new district looks promising, with Kisoko poised to play a central role in its development.
