KIBUKU
Police in Kibuku district on Wednesday, 4th June, 2025 arrested a 40-year-old man, Sam Kyaita, over allegations of aggravated defilement.
According to reports, Kyaita allegedly lured a 3-year-old minor to his house in Kitayalo Zone 1, Tirinyi Town Council, Kibuku district.
The suspect’s actions were discovered by Edith Mugala, the grandmother of the victim, who caught Kyaita in the act at his home. Wilfred Kyapasa, the Bukedi North region police spokesperson, confirmed that Mugala raised an alarm, attracting a crowd that helped apprehend Kyaita and take him to police custody.
Kyaita is currently being detained at Kibuku Central Police Station as investigations continue.
