EC Sets Deadlines for Verification of Academic Papers For Presidential, LCV, MP Aspirants

The Electoral Commission has set deadlines for Presidential Aspirants, LCV and MP candidates to verify their Academic documents by UNEB.

The deadline for Presidential Aspirants is August 1^st, for MP Candidates is July 16^th and for LCV is July 3^rd 2025.

“Aspiring candidates for President, Parliament, or District Chairperson need A-Level or equivalent, verified 2 months before nomination,” reads the EC’s statement.

Meanwhile, UNEB is charging Shs300,000 to verify academic documents for political and other special purposes.
