BUKEDEA
The office of the NRM party electoral commission in Bukedea district has declared David Beacham Okwere as the NRM flag bearer for Bukedea County MP seat after defeating the incumbent, John Bosco Ikojo and his other rivals.
The NRM party registered four candidates vying for the flag.
According to Charles Otai, the NRM party district registrar, George Stephen Ekuma scored 3,540 votes, John Bosco Ikojo 13,064 votes, Alfred Solomon Obwokor 2,130 and David Beacham Okwere scored 13,651 votes.
However in Kachumbala County, the incumbent Patrick Isiagi Opolot retained the flag after scoring 35,149 votes against Henry Aleko who got 861 votes.
