The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has arrested a Medical doctor and three others accused of attempting to defraud Turkish investor.
Dr. Charles Muyasaka who was purportedly the Chairman Special Contracts Committee in the Office of the President was arrested today, Wednesday, 23rd July, 2025 in possession of official government stamps and documents.
The others are; Mwesigwa Robert (Director Procurement of the Special Contracts Committee), Wathum Peter, (Secretary of the purported Contracts Committee), and Sseruma Moses who is a purported Communications and IT Specialist.
According to a State House official, the four were caught red-handed in their rented office trying to defraud, Mr Furkan Gurmurqn of $4.9 million.
They are alleged to be part of a larger racket that defrauds unsuspecting investors and run to South Africa for months before they come to look for another victim.
