The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) today Wednesday, 30th July, 2025 officially endorsed Nathan Nandala Mafabi as its presidential flag bearer for the 2026 general election.
The endorsement was made during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the party head office in Najjanakumbi where members unanimously backed him.
Mafabi, a long serving Member of Parliament for Budadiri West constituency in Sironko district and former leader of opposition in parliament, will lead the party into what is expected to be a heated race for State House.

The FDC party is expected to unveil a comprehensive campaign road map in the coming months to outline its national mobilization strategy and candidate rollout across the country.
Mafabi joins Robert Kyagulanyi Ak Bob Wine of the National Unity Platform, Mugisha Muntu of Alliance for National Transformation, Mathias Mpuuga of the Democratic Front, Nobert Mao of DP, Joseph Kabuleta of National Economic Empowerment Dialogue, John Katumba, and Ivan Kisakye as the opposition party head to step foward to challenge incumbent Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
