Kampala Metropolitan Police has issued a Traffic Advisory following a fatal accident involving four vehicles today, Friday, 29th August, 2025.
The accident that occurred near Victory Church, Seeta along the Kampala–Jinja Highway claimed one life that police has not yet identified.
According to the Traffic Police Spokesperson, SP Michael Kananura, the accident involved a bus, 2 trucks and a concrete mixer disrupting traffic flow with the highway blocked in the affected area.
“Additionally, due to increased traffic expected because of the football match at Namboole Stadium, the situation is further compounded,” says Kananura
To ensure public safety and ease congestion, police advises all motorists are to follow the alternative routes outlined below:
Motorists from the City Centre heading to Kireka are advised to use the Kinawataka – Kirinya – Jokas route.
Motorists using the Northern Bypass are advised to branch off at Naalya Roundabout – Kyaliwajala – Sonde – Seeta.
Motorists from Mukono heading to the City Centre are advised to use Kalagi Road.
