IGANGA
The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has arrested and arraigned before court three PDM SACCO leaders in Luuka district.
The trio, all leaders of Busalamu South Ward SACCO was paraded before the Iganga Chief Magistrate’s Court on charges of extorting money from PDM beneficiaries on Friday, 5th September, 2025.
They are; Buwote Stephen – Chairperson, Nangobi Safina – Secretary, and Nankangu Ziyada – Treasurer.
According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the accused are alleged to have fraudulently obtained money from beneficiaries between May and July 2025 at Busalamu Town Council in Luuka District, falsely claiming that payment was a requirement to access PDM funds, which was not true.
They have been remanded until 16th September 2025.
