First Deputy Prime Minister and Kamuli Woman MP received a heroic welcome in Busoga on 19th September 2025 with her rally at Kamuli Municipal grounds climaxing the homecoming and thanks giving event.

During her speech, Kadaga had no kind words for Busoga Kingdom’s premier, Dr. Joseph Muvawala Nsekere whom she accused of being behind the unscrupulous sale of Kingdom land and undermining and blocking development initiatives she supports citing her efforts to have an airport constructed at Kimaka, Jinja City, which was sabotaged at first despite Presidential approval.

“We paid for marram that was supposed to be used to construct a runway at Kimaka airfield but I was surprised that Muvawala had deployed armed men in Buwekula at the time of picking the marram. His actions are politically motivated to weaken my efforts among the Basoga.” Said Kadaga.

Rt.Hon. Kadaga alleged that premier Muvawala was at the forefront of selling Busoga kingdom properties while other kingdoms like Buganda had successfully recovered their assets.

She also expressed dismay over disunity among Busoga politicians adding that despite the recently concluded Central Executive Committee outcome, she remains committed to the ruling NRM party.

Kadaga castigated infighting among Basoga politicians, stressing that she remains committed to the NRM despite setbacks in recent Central Executive Committee elections.

By the time of filing this story, Busoga Kingdom Prime minister Muvawala had not responded to the allegations.

As can be recalled on 3rd September 2025, the State Minister for Lands, Dr. Sam Mayanja ordered his arrest and other Kingdom officials for involvement in dubious land deals and wrongful eviction of residents in Buwekula and Kainogoga villages in Northern Division Jinja City.

Earlier this year, he dismissed similar claims about illegal sale of kingdom assets, describing them as baseless, attributing the challenges of land management in Busoga to the historical absence of formal title systems.
