A speeding Fuso Truck Reg Number UBQ 354F has knocked a pedestrian killing him on spot in Tirinyi Town Council along the Pallisa-Tirinyi road.
The fatal accident that claimed the life of Buga Ali, a 45-year-old male resident of Kilyolo village, Kilyolo parish, Lwatama sub-county occurred on Tuesday morning, 14th October, 2025.
According to Wilfred Kyempasa, the Bukedi North region police spokesperson, the white Fuso, driven by an unknown driver and is still at large, was traveling from Pallisa to Tirinyi at high speed.
He says upon reaching Tirinyi center, the driver lost control and knocked down a pedestrian who was walking along the road, resulting in his instant death.
Kyempasa adds that the scene was visited by IP Angella Max and the team. The vehicle has been impounded at Tirinyi Police Station pending inspection by the Inspector of Vehicles (IOV).
He adds that the body has been taken to Kibuku Health Center for a post-mortem examination.
