Police in Katwe have commenced investigations to establish the circumstances under which Bryan White’s girlfriend died at his residence. The deceased identified as Caroline Nalubwama aged 25, allegedly died of gas explosion at Bryan White’s residence in Kampala. Before she breathed her last, she was taken to Kiruddu hospital where she was confirmed dead.
The deceased according to Kiruddu hospital died at 4:30pm on October 27, 2025 while Bryan white says the gas explosion occurred at 7pm on the same day. This inconsistency has compelled police to retrieve the CCTV footage at his residence to verify the time of the incident and circumstances surrounding the deceased’s death at the scene.
The deceased’s father Mr. Tom Mutyaba reported the matter at Katwe police under police file number DEF:73/2025.
Caroline’s body is currently at Mulago City mortuary for a postmortem while Bryan white is currently admitted at Mildmay hospital in Lweza zone along Entebbe road where he is undergoing treatment for the injuries he sustained during the gas explosion.
Police forensic experts, homicide detectives, and police fire brigade unit cordoned off and examined the scene where the incident happened. Police recovered burnt clothes and curtains at the scene.
And preliminary findings indicate that the scene had minimal fire damage which raises serious doubt on a gas explosion.
The findings also indicate that the deceased person resided in one of the rooms at Bryan White’s residence but the incident occurred in a different room.
Police have cast doubt in Bryan White’s statement in which he states the incident occurred at 7pm yet the hospital’s death certificate puts Caroline’s death at 4:30pm. However, police detectives have retrieved CCTV footage at the scene to establish the exact time of the incident and circumstances surrounding the incident.
