AN angry mob has burnt a notorious cattle and car thief beyond recognition in Nkonge village, Tweyanze parish, Katikamu sub-county, Luwero District.
According to the Police Spokesperson, Savannah region ASP S. Twiineamazima, Sekindu Henry, a 38-year-old male from Gulama village, was intercepted and burnt along with a vehicle he was driving by a mob after an alarm was raised about an ongoing theft on 30th October, 2025.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was found by a large crowd while driving a white Toyota Premio vehicle, registration UBD 290M, which was reported stolen from Kasana.
It was established that Sekindu Henry had been tracked from Kakoola village, Bamunanika sub-county, following allegations of cattle theft.
Twiineamazima says the deceased was known to be a notorious thief with several pending court cases related to vehicle and cattle theft across Luwero District adding that both the victim and the vehicle were burnt beyond recognition at the scene.
“Police promptly registered the case of murder and malicious damage and conducted investigations, including recording witness statements and visiting the crime scene,” he says.
The remains of the deceased were taken to Luwero Hospital, Kasana, meanwhile, there were no arrests by the time of filing this story.
