The Ministry of Public Service has cleared Kapelebyong district to fill 25 positions, with a salary of Ugx 414,522,300.
According to Emmanuel Opio, communications officer at Kapelebyong Local Government, the ministry of public service has cleared the district to fill 25 vacancies at a wage of shs414, 522,300.
Opio stated that the district will soon publish the twenty-five openings, including health personnel, to tell the public about the positions.
Following a history of corruption and bribery in job recruiting, Opio stated that the district will prioritize transparency in the recruitment process in order to attract qualified public employees.
He said the recruitment prioritizes critical leadership and technical positions in local governments to boost the development and implementation of government programs.
The Government of Uganda approved the recruitment of 6,853 new public servants in the current financial year 2025/26, in a move aimed at strengthening service delivery across government Ministries, Local governments and MDAs.
According to the Ministry of Public Service, the approved recruitment will be implemented at a total wage bill of Shs124.8 billion, covering 130 government entities.
