A Self-styled investor has been arraigned before Makindye Utility Court on charges of Trade Mark Infringement.
Kasoma Robert Sserumaga who was earlier arrested by State House Investors Protection Unit appeared before court on Wednesday, 19th November, 2025 and was remanded until 08th December, 2025.
On 14th November, 2025, Kasoma was arrested in Kampala district allegedly being involved in counterfeiting NUMA products.
Investigations revealed that, while coordinating with other accomplices at Nasser Road in Kampala, he was producing NUMA products, duplicate packaging materials, whose final consumption is yet to be established.
Prosecution of such actors aligns with the SHIPU’s mandate of ensuring investor protection and underscores the country’s commitment to enhancing investment through a thriving investment landscape.
