The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has taken to court two suspects on charges of illegal eviction of bona fide occupants without a court order, destruction of crops, and theft.

The duo appeared before the Wakiso Chief Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday, 2nd December, 2025 and were remanded until 3rd December 2025.

According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Kamya Kyeyune Francis and Lwanyaga Daudi join Ssejjombwe Ibrahim, Kyeyune Allan, and Musoke Joseph who were earlier remanded over the same charges.

It is alleged that between January and October 2025, the accused persons, along with others still at large, falsely claiming to be bibanja holders, gathered a large group armed with pangas and sticks, violently entered and grabbed land situated in Block 314, Plot 846, Busiro, at Bukasa in Wakiso District, belonging to Dr. Paul Biriibwa.

They reportedly destroyed numerous properties on the land, including workers’ residential houses, animal shelters for cattle, goats, and pigs, a wall fence, water tanks, trees, coffee and banana plantations, cameras, solar systems and a 40ft container.

Further investigations showed that the accused had no evidence or documentation to support any lawful claim to the land and had never been in occupation or possession of it.

The complainants have occupied the land for over 20 years, holding a valid title that dates back to 2001. The accused are also alleged to have carried out the destruction without any court order.
