Residents of Bubbinge A village, Nawanjofu Sub County, Butaleja District are still in shock after discovering a decomposed body of 4 year old child who had gone missing for a week on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 morning.
Ibrahim Hiire and Gamusi Salim, grandparents of the deceased say their 4 year old grandson, was killed by yet unknown people and dumped in the nearby artificial forest.
They say locals who smelt an unpleasant smell, responded to the scene only to find the decomposing body of the boy.
They say their grandson went missing last Tuesday at about 2:00PM. The family searched for him through social media and traditional means unsuccessfully, then they further reported the matter to the police.
Elukana Musugusi, the area LCI chairperson says that he was informed about the tragedy by Abdul Malik the owner of the tree garden (artificial forest), in Bubbinge A, Nawanjofu sub county.
Mourners condemned the act, and challenged other Parents to take keen care of their children.
Karim Wandage, now decomposing, thought to have been killed a week ago, has been a son of one Shafiq Kadimba, a mechanic in Busaba town.
By press time police had not yet reached at the scene.
