Police in Nateete are actively investigating a murder incident that occurred in Kitebi Zone, Mutundwe Parish, Rubaga Division, Kampala City.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SP Kawala Racheal, on Monday 8th December,2025 the deceased, Nambeja Burilian, a 3-year-old child, disappeared from her mother, Nakanjala Olivia, a hairdresser at Kitebi–Star and resident of Bunamwaya–Ngobe Zone, Mutundwe Parish, Makindye Ssabagabo, Wakiso District.
A case of disappearance was immediately registered at Nateete Police Division, and search efforts commenced without delay.
Unfortunately, on Tuesday 9th December 2025, the child was found lifeless, dumped in a room within an isolated house that is said to have previously operated as a school. The body was discovered by a firewood seller who works near the abandoned premises.
Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was first defiled and later killed. The body has since been conveyed to Mulago Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination with efforts underway to identify, arrest, and bring the suspect to book.
Police appealed to parents and guardians to remain vigilant and exercise extra caution to ensure the safety of their children.
