NRM’s Hajji Nagaya Abdulhafidh has been declared Jinja City Mayor Elect by the returning officer Flavia Nakasi today Friday 23rd January 2026 after polling 17466 votes beating his closest NUP contender Kirunda Mubarak who polled 15783 votes.
The contest attracted 14 people including the incumbent mayor Peter Alton Okotcha Kasolo who contested as an independent after losing out on the NUP flag and he polled 6850 vote.
