MBALE CITY
Residents of Mbale city are shocked after Aisha, 36, wife of police officer Khasani Mukhwana, attached to Nauyo police post, Industrial city division, committed suicide over alleged jealousy.
The incident occurred on Friday evening, 23rd January, 2026 at Aramazame Cell, Wakwaba Central Ward, Industrial City Division in Mbale City.
According to eyewitnesses, Aisha hanged herself from the roof of her house after learning that her husband had married a second wife.
Rogers Taitika, Elgon region police spokesperson, confirmed the incident, saying the body has been taken to Mbale city mortuary for postmortem.
He cautioned couples to seek counseling from elders, religious leaders, or authorities rather than taking matters into their own hands when facing misunderstandings at home.
