A police Constable, SPC Isaac Othieno, attached to Osukuru Police Station in Tororo District, is on the run after allegedly making abusive statements against President Yoweri Museveni and Inspector General of Police.
The incident occurred on January 22, 2026, at Kayoro Sub-County, where Othieno, dressed in police uniform, claimed the President and IGP had not provided police officers with transport and food.
ASP Kaigwa Elly, Officer in Charge of Tororo Central Police Station, reported the matter, and a case (Tororo CRB 75/2026) has been registered.
According to police authorities, the suspect handed over the police uniform at his friend’s house in Osukuru and disappeared to unknown destination.
Police are searching for Othieno, believed to be hiding in Kenya.
“We are on the ground, searching for the suspect to have him arrested and prosecuted,” police said in a statement.
