A Kenyan prominent singer, songwriter, and former parliamentary candidate has finally found his biological mother after conducting a DNA test.
Kevin Bahati, famously known as “Mtoto wa Mama” got to confirm that Judith Makhoha who approached him earlier claiming to be his biological mother was indeed his mother after a DNA test.
On 17th February, 2026, Bahati took the bold step and together with his purported mother went for DNA test where emotions rose to teary levels.
During the test, Judith said she was ready for any result, but affirmed she felt deeply in her intuition that she was the singer’s biological mum. In an interview, Judith narrated how she met the man she claims to have sired the singer and why they parted ways.
Meanwhile, Bahati said he was ready for anything adding that if it turned out that she was his biological mother, he would build her a house.
“If the DNA confirms that she is my mother, I will have no option but to accept her as my biological mother,” said an emotional Bahati who was seen in tears during the test process to verify his alleged Luhya roots.
A day later, DNA results came out confirming that Judith was indeed Bahati’s biological mother. Judith is said to have re-appeared in 2025 insisting she was the Singer’s biological mother even when Bahati had been made to believe that he buried his own mother 25 years ago.
Judith is said to have abandoned the Singer in an orphanage due to financial constraints after the father abandoned her disappearing into thin air.
