Police has released details of the fatal road accident that occurred in the early hours of Monday, March 16, 2026 at Mpala Interchange along the Entebbe Expressway.
According to the Police Traffic Spokesperson, SP Michael Kananura, the crash involved vehicle UBG 734S, a T/ Land Cruiser.
He says the driver of the said vehicle identified as Ssenyonjo Bosco, was a businessman and resident of Masaka who was traveling with his family towards the Entebbe side.
He says Ssenyonjo reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to speeding on the expressway. The vehicle first knocked the basement of a street light pole and later hit a road pillar before overturning several times
As a result of the crash, 03 occupants including the driver died instantly while 02 others sustained severe injuries
A team of Traffic Police responded swiftly to the scene evacuated the injured victims to Grade B Hospital where they received first aid before being referred to another medical facility for further management.
