The High Court sitting in Ggaba has today, Thursday, 23rd April, 2026 found that Okello Christopher Onyum, the prime suspect in the heinous murder of 4 Day Care infants has a case to answer.
Reading the judgement after the conclusion of evidence presentation by the prosecution, Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha ruled that the evidence presented makes a case against the accused.
Justice Komuhangi informed Okello that the Prima Case ruling means he has to defend himself on all the four counts of murder by either keeping silent, giving evidence without swearing or give evidence on oath.
Okello also has a right to call witnesses in all the three options he will have chosen.
Prosecution had on Monday, 20th April, 2026 presented critical CCTV footage linking the murder of Ggaba Early Childhood Development Centre kids to Okello Christopher Onyum.
The ruling followed a brief disruption after heavy rainfall pounded the court area prompting the Judicial officers to pray for Heavenly intervention to ward off the evil schemes of the devil.
Proceedings continued with testimony from ASP Kenneth Henry Angulu, a digital forensic analyst with the Uganda Police Force concluding the prosecution presentation.
