KAMPALA
Police in Katwe are holding three panga wielding Men who attempted to rob Nesta petrol station along Salaama road in Salaama parish, Makindye Division, Kampala Capital City.
According to police, the trio was arrested following intelligence information received by Katwe police on Sunday evening April 26, 2026 and in response police laid a trap along Salaama road on Monday April 27,2026, which saw the trio successfully harvested .
“On April 26, 2026, police received intelligence info about a planned robbery at the Salaama road. Acting swiftly on this information, our task team responded immediately, resulting in the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of four pangas” the police statement reads.
Meanwhile, police is yet to disclose the identities of the suspects but confirmed that they are currently freezing in police cells as investigations continue.
