The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has arraigned before court Manafwa District Commercial Officer/ Parish Development Model (PDM) Focal Person for allegedly extorting PDM beneficiaries.
Wanzala Samuel, District Commercial Officer appeared before the Chief Magistrates Court, Manafwa on charges of theft and conspiracy to commit a felony today, Wednesday, 13th May, 2026.
His co-accused are; Kashake Michael, Community Development Officer, Bukoma Sub-county, Nelima Harriet, Treasurer, Buwanzala PDM SACCO and Kisaka Fred, Parish Chief of Busangayi.
According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit that investigated the case, the four in December 2025, in Buwanzala, Manafwa District, along with others still at large, conspired together with the intent to defraud and stole cash amounting to Shs8 million, which belonged to Buwanzala PDM SACCO and its beneficiaries.
They have been remanded until 10/06/2026 when they will reappear before court for mention of their case and possible bail application.
