A 28 year old man has stabbed his ten months concubine to death over allegations of infidelity.
According to SSP L Kigozi, the PRO Wamala Region, Serugo Usain stabbed Natukunda Sumaya aged 25 years, a resident of Kakunyu C Cell Kakunyu Ward in Bukomero Town Council Kiboga District on Eid night, 28th May, 2026.
The couple had been living together for the last ten months in a rented house of Mr Kasozi Edward.
Serugo persistently accused his concubine of cheating on him with other men in the village and their relationship was characterized by violence born out of mistrust by the man.
Kigozi says that on Wednesday, 27/05/2026, Serugo confiscated the phone of the woman adding that at 9:00PM, being Idd day, the lady moved out with her friend, Kyosimire Shifrah leaving the man behind.
At 11:00PM, they came back together, her friend left her when she was knocking the door only to turn back after hearing the deceased yelling that they’ve killed me.
She found her lying in a pool of blood and quickly informed Mr Kasozi Edward their landlord who reported the matter to police.
A homicide team was dispatched from Kiboga commanded by the district CID officer.
The scene was documented, K9 was introduced, it tracked the scent of the suspect up to the main road but the suspect could not be found.
Body of the deceased was taken to Kiboga hospital mortuary for Postmortem as efforts are being made to apprehend the suspect who is still at large.
