MBALE CITY
Police in Mbale City have launched investigations following the death of Milton Sakula, 40, a security guard at Village Bar in Tsabanyanya Cell, Industrial City Division.
The incident, reported on Sunday morning, 7th June, 2026 occurred after unknown thugs reportedly raided the bar at around 2:00 a.m.
According to Lazaro Kitutu, an area resident, Sakula confronted the thugs but was attacked and fatally killed.
Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, SP Rogers Taitika confirmed the incident and said the body has been taken to Mbale City Mortuary for postmortem examination as investigations continue.
Area LC1 Chairperson, James Sakula, who is also father of the deceased, appealed to the public to provide any information that could help police apprehend the suspects.
Police have urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with ongoing inquiries as they work to bring those responsible to justice.
