Gov’t Reveals How LCI, II Election Officials Shall Be Paid

The Deputy Attorney General and Minister of State for Justice and Constitutional Affairs has informed Parliament that officials overseeing for LCI, II elections shall be paid.

 

Revealing this on the Floor of Parliament today, Thursday, July 9, 2026, Hon. Kafuuzi Jackson said that a Sub-county election official will get Shs546,433 per month being deployed for two months.

 

He says parish election official shall be paid Shs288,125 per month for two months, while village election official is set to earn Shs50,000 for five days for registration and Shs30,000 for three days of display.

 

Presiding officers will earn Shs30,000 while polling assistants and election orderly officers will earn shs20,000.

 

The election of LC1 is set for 28th July and that of LC II will take place on August 10th 2026.
