The President wants the Inspector General of Government to lead the investigations assisted by Auditors from his office, Kawawa and Tumwine.
The investigations may not spare the board chairman as well as the President has directed his Principal Personal Secretary to take him-Butagyira to him.
Meanwhile, a 17th August, 2026 public notice by URSB confirms the ongoing audit but assures the public that their services remain uninterrupted.
URSB further says the ongoing audit is being conducted in accordance with established procedures and applicable laws, adding that further information will be provided when appropriate.
Further information indicates that forced leave letters were served on Friday, 14th August, 2026 after a few days in which the URSB Headquarters was besieged with Forensic Auditors.
