Namisindwa District Chairperson Emma Bwayo has renewed calls for the coding of seven community primary schools in the district to enable them to benefit from government support and grant aid.
In a letter dated October 14, 2026, addressed to the Minister of Education and Sports, Bwayo appealed for urgent consideration of the schools, which he said were already operational and had registered high enrolment levels.
The follow-up comes after earlier submissions made to the Ministry on April 13, 2021, and February 28, 2022, seeking the coding and grant-aid consideration of the seven institutions.
The schools listed in the latest submission are St. Joseph Naluwande in Magale Town Council, Bilal Primary School in Lwakhakha Town Council, Namunyali Siteka SDA Primary School, Bukhabilula Salvation Army Community School, St. Monica Buwundu Community Primary School, St. Kaloli Lwanga Community Primary School, and St. Paul Primary School in Bukokho.
Bwayo expressed appreciation to the Ministry, the President and the government for their support to Namisindwa District, while urging the Education Ministry to act on the outstanding request.
He also attached copies of the previous submissions to facilitate the Ministry’s review.
The proposed coding is expected to help the schools access the relevant government support, subject to approval by the responsible authorities.
Copies of the letter were sent to the area Member of Parliament, the Resident District Commissioner and the Chief Administrative Officer of Namisindwa for their information.
