Schools and parents in Iganga district are continuing to celebrate the 2022 PLE good results which the Minister for Education and Sports Janet Kataha Museveni released on Friday, 27th January 2023.

At Down Prime Academy, out of 171 total candidates, 133 passed in grades one, 38 in second grade.

The Director, Justine Mpabe said their target performance was beyond this however that they were affected by the COVID 19 pandemic and massive exodus of private teachers who joined government schools.

She however praised parents and teachers for the good cooperation which saw them come second in Iganga district.

The joy and excitement was not any different at Iganga Boys Boarding Primary School.

A section of parents rushed to the school to witness the excitement after 85 of their candidates passed in first grade and only four passed in second grade.

The headmaster, Daniel Okoth said he inherited a failed school. Like his counterparts, Mpabe said Covid 19 pandemic severely affected their performance.
