PALLISA: District Hospital Medics on the Run after Causing Death of 4 Months Old Baby

Police in Pallisa district are hunting for Medics at Pallisa General Hospital for allegedly causing death of a months old baby boy after

Police has started investigations into a case of rush and neglect of a 4-months old baby identified as Eriasa Clement Edwin, who died due to over bleeding following a circumcision operation that happened on the 15/4/2023 at Pallisa General Hospital.

 

According to Bukedi North region Police spokesperson, ASP Immaculate Emily Alaso, the deceased is a resident of Orikosio Village, Kobwim Parish, Akasim Sub County in Pallisa district.

 

Preliminary information indicates that on 15/04/2023, the mother to the deceased in the morning hours at around 10:00AM reached to Pallisa General hospital for safe male circumcision which was done between 11:00AM and 12:00PM.

 

 

However, when the mother to the deceased was going back home from the hospital at around 13:00PM, the deceased got a convulsion and he was taken back to theatre where he was put on oxygen. His situation worsened as he bled till he passed on at around 18:00PM.

 

Alaso, added that the Police are hunting for the medical teams that were on the operation to help in investigations.
