The arrest occurred in the ongoing board room session with Soroti district officials with the team from Inspectorate of government led by Ann Twinomugisha Muhairwe, deputy Inspector General of Government.
Information available to this website indicates that Oede was arrested with the Acting District Engineer, Alex Oriokot.
Oede was faulted for diverting Shs18million meant for the construction of a 5 stance pit latrine for Olong Primary school in Lale Sub County.
Meanwhile, Oriokot is accused for allegedly erroneously approving construction of District headquater offices.
By the time of filing this story, the duo was cooling off at Soroti Central Police Station.
