IGANGA
Employees at Iganga district headquarters have resorted to easing themselves in bushes after toilets were closed down.
The toilet facilities were closed down after the national water and
sewerage corporation disconnected the district headquarters for failure to clear a shillings 76 million accumulated bill.
Staff now ease themselves in black polythene bags (kavera) or utilize
the nearby bushes to answer natures call.
Another temporary toilet facility that had been set up at the district
following a donation by a nongovernmental organization was also closed down after staff used stones instead of toilet paper .
The principal private secretary Idd Batenganya said the district had
already cleared the bill and water would be restored back to the
district headquarters.
