Police in Busia district is currently hunting for a secondary school teacher who is on the run for allegedly defiling a 17 year old girl.
The suspect has been identified as 57 years old -Kimanai Maina Jackson a teacher who also doubles as the director of studies at Busia SS in Busia Municipality.
It’s reported that the suspect was caught red-handed last week by residents in Naha guest cottage located in Busia town while playing sex with a 17 year old S.3 student who was dressed in a school uniform bearing Busia Border Seed Secondary school badge.
Some of the eyewitnesses told our reporter that they became concerned when they saw the student entering a guest cottage. In their intervention, they found a teacher dressed in Adams suit ready to prey on the young girl like a hungry hyena.
Aggrey Mayende, Headmaster Busia SS says that he was shocked to learn about the incident. He says he has been severally cautioning teachers to desist from getting involved in sexual relationships with students.
Winfred Nafula, the guardian to the victim says that she was traumatized to hear that her daughter was arrested in a lodge moreover with a teacher. She appealed to relevant authorities to help the family and make sure that the suspect faces the law.
Moses Johnson Mugwe, the Bukedi south police spokesperson says that they have registered the case and police is investigating.
