The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has offered 0ver 140 Scholarships to eligible Ugandans at the Islamic University of Technology in Dhaka – Bangladesh.
The Scholarships that are both partial and full and at the categories of Undergraduate and post graduate are all Science oriented.
This was revealed by the Ministry of Education and Sports in a presser dated 19th February, 2024.
“The Ministry of Education and Sports received both full and partial scholarship offers at undergraduate and post graduate levels from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the Islamic University of Technology – Dhaka, Bangladesh for the 2023 – 2024 academic year,” reads the statement in part.
The Undergraduate Programmes are;
- Bsc in Mechanical Engineering (ME) with 10 Full sponsorship and 10 partial.
- Bsc industrial and Production Engineering with 02 partial sponsorship.
3 Bsc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) with 20 Full and also 20 Partial sponsorship.
4 Bsc in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with 10 Full and 10 Partial.
5 Bsc in Software Engineering with only 02 Partial
6 Bsc in Civil Engineering also with only 02 Partial
7 Bachelor of Business Administration in Technology Management, 02 Partial.
8 Bsc in Technical Education with 30 Full
Post Graduate Programmes offered are;
1 PhD in Engineering Programmes in (ME, EEE,& CSE) 3 vacancies with 100% Waiver.
2 Msc in Engineering in: (ME, EEE & CSE) for all students 3 vacancies at 50% Waiver.
3 PhD in ME, EEE, & CSE fresh international students 3 vacancies with 100% Waiver.
4 Msc in ME, EEE & CSE for fresh international students 3 vacancies with 100% Waiver
5 PhD in Technical Education one vacancy with Full sponsorship
6 Msc in Technical Education/ PGD-Technical Education 10 vacancies with Full sponsorship
Procedure of Application is as follows:

- Filled forms must be routed through the Commissioner Admissions, Scholarships and Students Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Sports.
- Applicants must attach the following documents: a) Attested certificates and transcripts b) English proficiency certificate (if any) c) Letter of Nomination (for candidates applying for full sponsored OIC and Partial Scholarship) d) Medical Reports
