A body of a 17 year old student of Mbarara Secondary School who drowned on Monday, 9th April is still missing.
Jordan Balimwikungu, a day student resident of Kiswahili cell Kakoba Ward, Mbarara City drowned on Monday 8th April at about 5:37PM at Katete Beach where he had gone swimming.
According to SP Kasasira Samson, Police Spokesperson Rwizi Region, the fire department responded to the scene yesterday, 9th April as early as 8:00Am and conducted a search to retrieve the body but their efforts weren’t fruitful.
He says the search for the body is still ongoing and investigations into the drowning have been opened to ascertain the cause of drowning.
